Several players were away with commitments to other sports and events
but we welcomed Krishiva Rahi a new player and the return of Max Jiang.
An exciting time for Papatoetoe Chess Club.
We beat Howick- Pakuranga 4-2 and won the cup for the first time in its 22 year existence. Unfortunately for Howick they had two boards default so we had really won before we started however it was pleasing to get another win and two draws to ensure we also won all three matches.

3 new players filled in for Papatoetoe against North Shore

final placings were settled with the LOWEST RATED player 1st followed by the others in 2nd and 3rd.
