We have a membership of about 40 members this year (2011) both seniors and juniors.
John McRae is “Mr. Papatoetoe” Chess Club. He has been a member for nearly 30 years and is currrently the Treasurer.
Having also been a past president for many years including being president of the Auckland Chess Association for five years at the same time.
Quite a feat.
Paul Norris is the current President, serving for the last 3 years.

Our chess night is every Wednesday night at the Papatoetoe RSA Bowling Club
Juniors 5:00PM – 7:15PM
Seniors 7:15PM onwards

We are a very friendly, relaxed, informal Club and we always welcome new members.
Feel free to come and have tea or coffee, biscuits and chess games.

Fees can be paid weekly at $3.00 per evening, making a game of chess very affordable and fun.
First evening is free.
